Upstream is the Student Ministry at Currey Creek. Our desire is to exalt God, engage the culture and enrich the Christ follower by discipling the next generation of the Church and reaching the lost.

Middle School 6th-8th Grade

MIDDLE SCHOOL UPSTREAM: Middle School Upstream meets from 6:30-8:30pm each Wednesday and includes games, food, and fellowship followed by corporate worship, a Christ-centered message, and gender-based small groups. It is our desire for students to develop strong relationships with one another and grow together in the image of Christ.

UPSTRE(AM): Middle School meets Sunday mornings during the 9:30 or 11:00am services for a message from God's Word. This hour-long time includes breakfast, prayer, and interactive group teaching centered on establishing a personal understanding of the Gospel, our individual role in the Kingdom of God, and our role in the Body of Christ.

  • Reaching out to a wide range of students (not just your close friends) via text to inform them of planned Upstream “fellowship/hangout” gatherings outside of Wednesday nights
  • Being consistently present at “fellowship” gatherings outside of Wednesday nights
