Job Title: Worship Leader
Status: Full-Time (40 hours)
Supervisor Title: Pastor of Worship and Arts
Job Summary:
The role of the Worship Leader is to execute the vision of the worship at Currey Creek Church. The position reports to the Pastor of Worship and Arts. This position leads corporate worship services, develops and executes worship ministry strategies and plans across all ministry areas of the church. This includes volunteer development, corporate worship engagement, and leading worship classes, trainings, and experiences. The Worship Leader assesses the state of the worship ministry systems and works with the Pastor of Worship and Arts to execute new strategies that will help make the ministry more effective.
Ministry Responsibilities:
• Lead Sunday morning corporate worship services.
• Recruit and assess worship volunteers, providing coaching, feedback and instruction.
• Develop worship volunteers both in skill and theology of worship.
• Maintain healthy relationships with volunteers in a way that encourages and empowers.
• Creatively design Sunday morning worship services and special events – including song selection and service flow.
• Lead worship across the ministries of Currey Creek whenever needed.
• Provide care and support to the worship team members.
• Efficiently run rehearsals, being able to teach musical parts to all musicians.
• Be proficient on current programs/software used to execute the worship ministry including but not limited to Planning Center Online and Ableton.
• Develop a working knowledge of production technology across the Currey Creek campus. Including but not limited to audio consoles, lighting, consoles, and Pro Presenter.
• Resourcing worship volunteers across all ministries with materials needed to proficiently learn worship songs.

• Actively participates as a member of the Currey Creek Church body outside of work.
• Exalt God, Engage the Culture, and Enrich the Christ follower on a personal level.
Required Prerequisites for This Position:
• Follower of Jesus Christ who has been called to serve the Lord in a full-time vocational role.
• Musically gifted and able to lead others in worship.
• Considerate of different music preferences, but strong in establishing musical worship that meets the vision of the worship staff and pastors.
• Minimum of five years of worship-leading experience.
• At least two years of full-time vocational worship leading.
• A relationship builder who can continue to grow the worship ministry team at Currey Creek.
• A teachable heart that is willing to learn and improve in their position.
• Adaptable and committed to working flexible hours based on the needs of the church.
Preferred Prerequisites for This Position
• Theological education.
• Church leadership training.
• Multi-instrumentalist.
• Songwriting experience.
• Ten years of worship leading experience.
• Five years of full-time vocational worship leading.
